Biopics are one of my favorite movies to watch and I cannot wait for this one to come out. I think I speak for a lot of us when I say that we have been waiting for a Tupac biopic for a very long time.
Well, it’s finally here! The trailer for “All Eyez On Me” was released today June 16th, on the day of late and great Tupac Shakur‘s birthday. If you haven’t got a chance to peep it, check it out below.
The Pharcyde is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of their iconic album Labcabincalifornia by releasing a commemorative mixtape. In a collaborative effort, the #BeamMeUpSpinna mixtape is mixed by NYC’s DJ Spinna and features “Nasty Habits”, an unreleased joint from the vault produced by ShowBiz that features Ralph Tresvant & Bobby Brown. Imani & Bootie Brown also invited a group of producers to remix and add their own personal spin on a few of the Labcabincalifornia songs that you all know and love.
The legendary Art Laboe connection is back and this time around you can find him on the home for “back in the day” hits, 93.5 KDAY starting this Sunday June 7 from 6 p.m to 12 a.m.
With all the changes being made in radio the last few months Art Laboe’s Connection was removed from LA radio but now he is back in his new home and you can start tuning in this Sunday June 7th.
Art Laboe’s connection is famous for the dedications and oldies but goodies. KDAY is a great fit for Art Laboe because it fits the whole “back in the day” theme.
I’m excited for this move and can’t wait to hear all the positive comments of how happy people are that Art Laboe’s Connection is back.
These guys are part of a movement called Cash Addictz, they both work on their own individual projects but have recently collaborated on a track titled “Fuck Shit.”

Def came out into the stage with a canvas bag that had rose petals in it. He began to scatter them all over his stage. He was very relaxed but energetic at the same time. While he was performing he danced very gracefully and invited the crowd to repeat his chants after him.
For many people who attended it was the first time they had ever seen Mos Def perform. It was very obvious that the excitement was there. They were in awe to be watching Mos Def perform some of his greatest hits in Los Angeles.
A videographer who was filming the event said, “It felt like a long night but as soon as the sample to Ms Fat Booty dropped… ah man, it was all worth it” said Stephen DeGuzman.
DeGuzman mentioned that it was his second time watching Mos Def perform but that he was very excited to have the opportunity to film Mos Def for the first time.
Jorge Garcia who also attended the show and was in the VIP section said, “it was an awesome show, I couldn’t believe that I was that close to Mos Def.”
Garcia added, “I work with celebrities and I’m not usually star struck but it’s Mos Def, he’s one of the reasons I love Hip-hop.”
Mos Def opened the show with some of his newer music and closed it of with some songs from his earlier work including “Ms Fat Booty” and “Traveling Man.”
Def also payed homage to The Notorious B.I.G by performing one of his greatest hit songs “Juicy.” It was an epic night for LA at the Mayan Theater with New York’s own Mos Def.
Below you can watch a small recap of the Mos Def show last night that I put together from all my snapchat videos. It contains some small shots of other artists who performed last night before Mos Def.
