Hoe Down Days at Cerritos College

Every Spring Cerritos College holds an event called Hoe Down Days in which students and clubs come together.

Each club puts up a booth in which they have games for students to play.

They also sell food and goodies. All the money that is made is goes to that belonging club.

Gang Starr MC Guru- 2 Years After His Death

Two years ago today The Gang Starr MC Guru (born Keith Elam) died at the age of 48.

Guru died of cancer-related causes after a long fight with the disease.

Born near Boston on July 17, 1966, Guru was the part of the duo Gang Starr along with DJ Premier.

American Bandstand host Dick Clark dies at 82.

Known best for hosting American Bandstand and the New Year’s Rockin’ Eve which beamed Times Square’s New Year’s Eve celebrations worldwide, Dick Clark has died at the age of 82.

Born Richard Wagstaff Clark, the widely recognized television personality and American radio host, better known as Dick Clark, died yesterday after suffering a heart attack following a medical procedure.

Clark was born November 30, 1929 in Bronxville, New York and died in Santa Monica on April 18.
